Moet Champagne Bottles in Style and Size

As you may well know, Moët et Chandon champagne was the first brand of bubbly to go international in 1790 with the help of Jean Rémy Moët, since then the company has increased its market share, with it being one of the most well known champagne brands in the world. An important factor in this evolution is the number and style of products the company offers its consumers.

Moët champagne comes in a selection of styles and sizes. These are explained below:

Moët Champagne Styles

Moët comes in both vintage and non-vintage forms. Vintage means that all the grapes used in the bottle come from the same year’s harvest, and by contrast non-vintage champagne uses grapes harvested in multiple years. Vintage champagnes are usually more expensive, due to their limited nature. You will also find Rosé Moët et Chandon bottles on the market place.

Moët and Chandon Bottle Sizes

Moët is associated with luxury and celebrations and a bottle is often presented at special occasions and events, in particular as wedding gifts and engagement gifts. In order to cater for the range of budget consumers have and the different occasions the bottles will be presented at the company has developed a selection of different bottle sizes (with a couple of extra special bottles in the range) to choose from.

The champagne bottle design is born equally out of style as necessity. The thick glass with its gently sloping shoulders and a deep punt (the indentation on the underside) are vital as the pressure inside the bottle is 80-90psi, which is 3 times the pressure inside an average car tyre!

The bottle sizes of Moët et Chandon Brut Imperial NV are as follows:

1. Quarter Bottle (1/4 bottle) and contains 20cl of champagne
2. Half Bottle (1/2 bottle), which contains 37.5cl
3. Moet et Chandon Bottle (1 bottle) 75cl of champagne
4. Magnum (2 bottles) 1.5 litres
5. Jeroboam (4 bottles) 3 litres
6. Methuselah (8 bottles) 6 litres
7. Salmanazar (12 bottles) 9 litres
8. Balthazar (16 bottles) 12 litres
9. Nebuchadnezzar (20 bottles) 15 litres

If these large and extra large champagne bottles aren’t enough to quench your thirst there are other special Moet champagne gifts available on the market. After the relationship between Moet et Chandon and Swarovski was forged a few years ago, Moet et Chandon created Swarovski crystal emblazoned, which can be found on 75cl bottles of Moët, as well as on Moet and Chandon Jeroboam and moet magnum champagne bottles for the ultimate sparkling champagne gift.
